Excellent finish - makes getting up at such an earthly hour worth-while. I was down in Cornwall at the same time, I had promised I would make myself get up early, early some days. Did I? Nope, not once. I'll never make a landscape photographer.

Good grief, another Cornish mine building - there should have been a get-together! I do like the fact that your exposure has kept some detail of the surroundings whilst retaining the emphasis on the building. It is inevitable to make comparisons with the other mine night shot, and I do feel that it has more impact through the more dramatic use of light, but I think my ideal would have been one that met mid way with this, combining drama and a degree of subtelty. No idea how to achieve it, though!
Somewhat ambivalent about the tilt - I wonder if, for me, it would work a bit better if the pump house wasn't quite so large in the frame?

It seems ridiculous that such an iconic site remains pretty much derelict. Your photo really captures the feel of the place - not, perhaps, the day-to-day reality, but rather the fantasy that I hold in my mind. Of course, I was familiar with it through the PF Animals album cover long before I saw it in real life.
