purple passionby PennyStreetComment: Oh, I like this Penny. I scored your entry a 7, and would have probably given this the same, maybe 8 - I think in terms of the challenge and of DPC, the one you entered was probably the right choice. |

Double Playby karmatComment: This works well - particularly like the presentation, and that red looks amazingly vibrant against the black background. |

Reflectionsby sulamkComment: A Little Grebe? A pleasing photo of these rather shy little ducks. The slight tilt bothers me somewhat, and the grain and consequent lack of textural detail is a bit of a problem - I would imagine this is a very heavy crop; certainly I have only ever managed to get distant shots of them! Composition and exposure are both good, and those reflections really are lovely. |

The Kingby HarveyGComment: Superb capture - not a European Kingfisher - looking forward to seeing where this was shot. They are some reclusive timid birds - superb! |

Clown of the Seaby SiggavComment: I looove puffins, and am holiday now so that I can go and visit some - a few days too late for this challenge (although I was able to get a distant photo of one). I like the rich, velvetiness of the water, and I LOVE the reflection - I have never seen that before. A shame you weren't able to get a bit more detail, but I suspect that you were at the very end reach of your ens and probably cropped in quite a way in post processing. Still, that reflection is cracking, and adds a quite different element to your photo. |
