Not to my taste, stylistically, so voting based on technicals. I'm not sure that the backdrop really works as well as you might have hoped - the way it hangs make it very clear that it is fabric, and this takes away from the 'underwater' feeling that I think you were after.

The pose is hilarious and I rather like the processing and clutter; it seems very much that this is the cat's home, domain - any humans who live here are, I suspect, very much incidental to the household! A real shame that the depth of field isn't wide enough to allow the cat's nose to be in focus.

Intrigued as to whether this is a 'super-macro' or a photo of an ornament of some sort. This is one of those rare occasions when knowing the difference would actually affect my score, but all I can do is comment on the image as presented. The shades of grey, with the almost metalic sheen are rather lovely and it is an image that has made me stop and look. I find the 'blackground' a little dominating, and wish it was somehow softer. Looking forward to reading your photographer notes.
