Steve - Well, I think it was a bold choice to enter an on purpose soft focus image in a free study and you seem to have scored pretty well. My guess is that the saturation (as others commented on) just overwhelmed people. I think you have a great image for a print here - the colors and softness will really translate well to the printed media.
