The Break by donjamesComment: such an awesome image ... funny how ppl dont like the shadow from the flash behind the leg .. i really like it .. it makes it look like he's nearly superimposed in the scene .. like a drop shadow that pushes him forward .. congrats on the well deserved ribbon .. :) |

The VISITORby andrewtComment: the more i look at this the better i like it .. things that i didnt notice in voting i notice now .. thought this would ribbon for sure .. i love the way the butterfly and his antennae form a line dividing the image in two .. i love the incredible details especially on his wings .. they look like the underside weave of a persian carpet .. i spose that's his proboscis coming out .. ? .. awesome shot .. :) |

house flyby prashant_168Comment: considering your equipment this is a brilliant shot .. :)
i'm not sure that i can give you advice on shooting macros of bugs using a ps .. it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to get the quality and extreme close up with out an slr camera and a dedicated macro lens ..
i use a canon 5DII or 40D with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro .. and usually an extension tube or two added onto that & an external flash .. :)
if you want more advice let me know .. :) |
