this close up image has so much more drama for some reason .. well, to me anyway ... the snails probably thought they'd escape detection if they mimicked a rope knot .. little did they know a photographer with an eagle eye was snooping around !! .. :)

they are the major player in your image .. the houses just peaking up .. nearly in homage .. am i reading too much into this photo ?!!
but it really works for me .. power to the houses .. they wouldnt exist without it ..
