this could be a wendy .. its a purfect image for the challenge and i'm loving the dark and the light .. of course the lower eyes jump out of the photo ... but there are some others that arent immediately obvious .. and i'm not talking about the cat .. are the others the monster .. lol .. :)

i sorta agree with Mary Ann about the crop .. altho i didnt even realize we could crop in this minimal edit challenge until i read the extra rules .. which was lucky for me .. who wants a stray piece of barbed wire ruining the look of an otherwise pristine photo .. lol .. joke .. it wasnt pristine .. ;)

i loved your highest scoring rooster shot Catherine ... but i think i like this one better ..
those iridescent tail feathers really grab me .. and i like how i can see the entire rooster .. and how he's standing on the fence post .. it puts the rooster into an environment for me .. which i really like too ..
the light .. the colours .. the background .. everything is perfect ..
i never knew roosters were so beautiful .. makes me want to get one just for photos .. lol .. ;)

i've just come looking to see where it came in the challenge . .

it saddened me to see so many incredibly low votes .
it was an extended edit after all .. and your resulting image has such a wonderful impact ..

i noticed the title when i saw this in voting and hoped you didnt get marked down because of it .
if i had voted it would have made absolutely no difference to my vote ..
in here as in life i feel its a much better approach to be kind .. and to make allowances .. as it was obvious it was a mistake .. :(
