Greenby RetroesqueComment: far out and just love this photograph ... was just going to turn off computer and noticed this one of yours ... once again we're in sequence!!
the contrasting colours are really stunning and work so well together .. and the graffiti gives it a lift ... its amazing how something so apparently ordinary can be turned into something so excellent .. the photographer's eye ... extraordinary ...
edit .. i'm going to meet other dpc ppl tomorrow at Darling Harbour in Sydney ... shame you couldnt have come too ... it'll be so good meeting other ppl with the same interest .. or rather obsession!!! Message edited by author 2007-02-21 05:15:18. |

Horse, Cow, Pig, Donkey .. Day 20by KatmystiryComment: wow .. absolutely wow ... those lovely blue windows caught my eye as a thumb and when i opened it i'm also struck by the stunning architecture of this building .. i can see why you love to photograph it and i can imagine it could look very different every time you visit ... different light, different angles etc etc .. i dont know whether the tones on the brickwork and the columns are natural or if you've done a bit of editing, but wotever ... (i do a spot of editing on occasion myself!!!!!!!) ... anyway this photograph is just excellent ... i love the sharpness too .... it just zings!!! |

Day 20.1 - Fostering a love of danger...by xianartComment: really cool photo ... just love it ... love your colours and focus and the vignette .. i love vignettes!!!
we used to do a similar thing ... my nephew, who is now a part time rally driver used to tow his two very young cousins around behind his paddy basher - one at a time ... they used to have a really rough ride in the paddock with all the dry grasses flying up into their faces etc... he had an bit of old piece of rubber tied to his car, which was cut to the size of a small child !! ... it was pretty mad ...
terminology .. 'paddy basher' is an old unregistered car that ppl use to tear around in the paddock ... my daughter ali had one for a while, but sold it to a friend for $50 ... we towed it to their place her friend had such an extreme time in it that he rolled it that day!! ... he was ok, but the paddy basher is now an ex paddy basher ...
edit ... this is my nephew paul on one of his rallys .. awesome eh?!

Day 20.jpgby HipychikComment: just love those brilliant colours .. focus is my main problem in photography coz my eyesight isnt crash hot ... and if you dont get the focus when you take the shot there's not a whole lot you can do except sharpening .. unless you do a noise ninja or something and make it look like an intentionally blurry image and then maybe selectively sharpen bits in it ... but of course, i'm still learning and there may be heaps more you could do ...
