oh wow .. an unusual image .. i love how the person in that booth isnt immediately obvious ... the lean is a bit distracting ... make sure when you line up a photograph that it is exactly how you want it to turn out, often i have to tilt the angle of the camera when i'm shooting to get it right ..:)
edit 2 seconds later ... i looked again and the lines of the booth are lining up with the edge of the image ... dont know why it looks like its leaning to me .. you can now disregard my previous comment ..:)

stunning and just about overpowering image .. the design on the wall and the silhouette of the man .. excellent .. great composition ... the wet look and subdued reflection on the pavement is another point of interest ...

a great slice of life and i love the postures of the ppl .. i like how i can see where it really is ie. "times square" .. how romantic!!! ... its a very busy photograph which is great, but i'm not absolutely sure that i like the composition ..:)

hi jon .. an unusual and different portrait and i love your composition .. the overall grey and uncontrasty tones doesnt work for me so much .. i also wish his eye was a bit sharper coz its the point of interest ... i've said in my first post, in this b&w challenge, that i want constructive criticism from ppl so i improve, but i feel a bit hesitant to say anything i dont like in someone else's coz i am aware that it's only my opinion ... but i'm gonna try in this challenge to not only say wot i dont like but be very complimentary when i do!!..:)

hey lisa ... great image ... love the perspective and the sky contrasts so well with the hard edges of the building .. i personally find the tree a distraction in this image, but that's only my opinion ..

cant see anywhere in the challenge description that you shouldnt actually have any food in it ... i find it quite strange really, the way some ppl will just about look for something to find in an entry that doesnt fit and then say it DNMC ... and then mark you down ... oh well ... i reckon their weird attitude would pass over into their real lives and they'd be seeing all sort'v negative things around them that arent really there!!! ...
anyway marac ... i reckon this is just the best image .. you've taken an excellent photograph and processed it with style ... i love your imaginative approach and the humour ...
and congratulations on a great place in the challenge despite the 'do gooders' who arent actually doing good at all !!

great shot alicia ... love the title .. great composition .. and they do look so ready for action .. i dont think it looks oversharpened at all .. in fact if i could get the sharpness you've achieved here i'd be extremely happy ... usually i dont like borders that take over too much but this one seems to work, possibly coz it is such a contrast with your image ... i wish this had done better for you .. some of the very best photographs on this site, like my own for example.. LOL .., just dont do well in the challenges ..:):):):):)X

stunning shot .. the colours and perspective were the things that drew me first off to this photograph ... then as i looked more, other things appealed to me as well ... i love that sort'v overcast looking sky contrasting with the appearance of sunlight in the foreground .. the red boat contrasts nicely with the rest of the image, yet lives beautifully with the red tones on the brickwork on the rhs of image .. the reflections in the water are lovely ... the person, who wasnt immediately obvious to me, adds really nice 'touch' to this image ..
