Nice bw conversion. I am thinking about getting Capture NX myself just for these kind of conversions. |

Very interesting shot! Have you tried other conversions with the same shot, just to see how they differ? |

Now here is something you don't see in the US anymore, in fact public telephones are no longer on every street corner since the birth of the cell phone. Nice image and conversion. |

Great rule of thirds shot, love the lone woman. Would like to see more negative space in this shot - crop feels a bit tight at bottom. Excellent tonal range. |

Nice shot - for me the crop is a little tight at the base |

I love the concept here and you did good with positioning, just wish someone was in the other side, very nice image. |

I like it. It's interesting. The woman in the left booth makes the image. |

In thumbnail form it was interesting. However, I love when it went full-size how the legs really pop in the shot. Very nice. |

I love the balance of three. Is it my eyes or is the door handle on the booth on the right not level with the other two? I would like to see a little more contrast to make those doors pop out and appear as tho they were ready to open up to the viewer. Great composition! |

She needs to get off of the phone before she runs out of change! Repetition in the subject is awesome! You've great contrast and texture in this and your lighting is great. Nice photograph! |

Love the composition. The woman in the left booth is the kicker, of course. Good idea to use something that's usually identified by color for a B&W - I like it. |

Hello??? Oh, wrong number (tee hee) Love the duplication of shapes with her in the left. What if you upped contrast a smidge??? |

Oooooh. . .I LIKE IT! I think I'm going to like your 30-days. I like your style. It has a great urban look, and the person in the one booth draws you in and makes you think there's a story here.

Love the repeating shapes. I agree that the word telephone needs a bit more contrast or sharpening |

I love these things! I like how the one on the left is occupied. I think it works better than if the center one was being used. I almost wish there was a little more contrast in the photo around the nameplates - a little dodging might do the trick. |

roz: The booths aren't completely vertical, or parallel with each other so that's why it might look odd. They've been there a while so they've developed a bit of a lean :)
MAK: yep, just off Market Square / Kings Parade.

I love the fact that something that Brits know quintessentially to be red is capture in black and white. I agree with the previous comment about the nice repetion and the fencing behind accentuates that well. |

oh wow .. an unusual image .. i love how the person in that booth isnt immediately obvious ... the lean is a bit distracting ... make sure when you line up a photograph that it is exactly how you want it to turn out, often i have to tilt the angle of the camera when i'm shooting to get it right ..:)
edit 2 seconds later ... i looked again and the lines of the booth are lining up with the edge of the image ... dont know why it looks like its leaning to me .. you can now disregard my previous comment ..:)

i like this, this cool composition with repetition of the phone booths and the fact that only one is occupied breaks this repetition very nicely at the same time. |
