man .. this is excellent .. if you hadnt said it was a tie, i would never'v known .. i thought it was some crazy carpet at first .. a magic carpet, of course, because of those interesting ripples, and a genie is the one taking the picture .. !!!!!!:) .. which is illegal in dpc, unless you are that genie ..!!!!???

hey steven .. i've come to this image from your portfolio page and not the b&w challenge, so i dont know if you put any explanation with this in there .. its taken me a couple of views to work out wots going on .. and because i really liked it a lot, without knowing wot it was, is why i perservered ...
i'm assuming you're standing above a body of water and the 'stuff' at the top of the image is the 'pylon' or wotever holding up wotever you're standing on?? .. and i could be completely wrong ..
wot i love about this is the amazing textures in the water and that incredible feeling of movement .. which is pretty hard to achieve when you catch a moving object in a still picture .. like no blur or anything to suggest the movement, is wot i'm trying to say .. love the droplets so white and looking like they're jumping/dancing around that pole/pylon ..
& thankyou, i did get some sleep last night ... and you can see it greatly improved my ability to speak without sounding like a raving lunatic!!!!

you can say thanx to the best friend for THE BEST SHOT .. love this .. its excellent .. love the way i can just see his left eye peeping around the piece of wood .. love your focus and the different textures especially on the wood, his nose and his whisker/fur above his mouth and below his nose .... (dont know wot that area's called!!) .. i wonder wot this'd look like with a bit'v selective contrast on the fence and his nose and eyes ??:)

far out result with your set up for the photograph and your processing rob .. this is extremely excellent .. love the tones without much contrast .. the view thru the archway looks just about copied and pasted in or cloned .. but its real !!.. love it ..

well it appears i was wrong .. i will not spare you the agony of another comment .. but you only have yourself to blame .. i thought i'd open just one more of your images .. and buggar me .. its too good not to say something ..
love the perspective in this photograph .. the b&w works excellently .. that wooden plank, boardwalk thingy looks like its just about moving .. quite the weird and unnusual visual confusion happening .. and there are more planks in places i would'v expected water to be .. was this even taken in this dimension ... possibly not .. but hey .. i would like to join you on your next excursion to the outer limits .. :)!!!!!!.. and no.. i'm not insane .. just seriously disturbed !!.. :)
i will be like a normal and sensible person in the morning, after a reasonable nights sleep .. well thats the plan ..

hopefully the money police wont be around to see you after viewing this image in dpc .. they may be thinking you are planning to do a bit'v forgery .. i wonder if its illegal to take photographs of money ?? .. i know i get told to put my camera away in the most unusual places ... :) .. rules and more rules .. soon it will be illegal to fart!!! ... sorry .. i'm quite tired .. i've been up since 3am and its now 8.30pm .. so its really more like midnight for me .. thank goodness i wont be making any more comments tonight .. i will spare the good ppl in dpc that agony .. :)
