This is a very pretty image. My only complaint would be to have a sharper focus on both birds. Otherwise I love everything else! |

This is sooo touching to me. I believe the cardinals 'mate" for life and we had a pair around our yard & woods. Sadly , a few weeks ago , I found the female dead in the driveway. It seems like whenever I'm outside now, I hear the male calling her....
my husband says I'm anthropomorphasizing- ever hear of that word ? (: |

Robin! Wow! This is gorgeous! I hate to think it wouldn't have done great in the selective desat challenge. It's just beautiful. And what I love is that you captured them in their natural environment. Their pose is perfect. I would have voted this very high!!! |

this certainly looks excellent with your selective desaturation .. a wonderful capture and just beautiful .. love the way that bird is leaning forwards ... it looks like he's just about to take off!! .. or maybe he already is!! ...... reckon it could'v been a first page in the challenge ... :) |

Are you out of your freaking mind! This would have been perfect for the Selective Desaturation challenge. As soon as I opened it up I was just like "WOW!!!!!!!!". Granted the male could have been more crisp but under the circumstances he isn't that bad. There is such a golden glow around them and I can feel the devotion that it gives me goosebumps. If I could have half your talent I would be on cloud nine. This is going into my favorites. Unbelievable shot. Please don't ever stop taking photos. You are a genius. |

I love your shot.. You are fortunate to have this devoted couple in your back yard.. I have tried and tried to capture a good shot of Cardinals. Not successful as of yet. They seem to be the most elusive birds. The minute get anywhere near in range seems like my camera starts shaking.. Then of course they are gone.. One Fine Day!!
Anyhow, This is great!! |
