man this is just gorgeous ... the colours and everything ..
i got totally hooked processing in RAW mainly because my camera skills left a lot to be desired .. like photographs often underexposed, which is saveable in RAW if not too bad .. i then did the minimal edit side challenge where i learnt a whole heap .. i know so much more than i did only half a year ago about my camera and settings etc etc . these side challenges are the best .. i usually do process thru RAW for the colours etc but sometimes i'll just process from jpeg too ... :)

hey kelly .. excellent shot & love that low key border .. just perfect .. the glimpse of the water lhs looks very inviting and those clouds are just beautiful .. !!
& this looks nearly as good as my firetrail !!! .. lol lol LOL ... !! .. actually it looks a whole heap better, coz this is pretty and also looks very easy to run on .. the firetrail is the aussie bush, and i dont think anyone would ever call it pretty ... pretty harsh maybe !! .. and there are so many rocks of all different sizes on the firetrail, that you'd twist an ankle for sure if you tried to run .. i walk very carefully .. mainly so i dont fall and hurt my camera .. i'm repairable .. and i know the camera would probably be repairable, but waiting for the repairs would seriously upset my brain ..
i've been waiting over a month for them to fix my tamron .. its a very ordinary lens really so the wait is not a problem and i'm enjoying using my canon 100mm macro .. bit of a pain sometimes when i dont actually want 100mm zoom, but i find its really good to get to know a lens if you cant use anything else ... i have to say that coz i dont have anything else !!:)

love the textures on those bricks & love that insects expression !! .. does that book say 'web dictionary'? ... after looking for a minute i realise its websters dictionary !!!!!! .. i didnt think there was actually a web dictionary .. !!! ... great story about miss taterbug .. is she ever offended when you call her an insect?? !!! i wanted to be a entomologist when i was her age so i wouldnt have minded ....
i love this bit "I told her to find another solution. " .. in the relationship between my daughter & myself it would work a whole lot better if our personalities were reversed ... i'm pretty laid back and actually hate telling ppl wot to do, which of course is not a good thing as a parent (i do try and overcome this personality defect tho!!)... my daughter ali, on the other hand has no trouble asking ppl to do stuff for her ... i try telling her to "find another solution" quite often, or say "do it yourself", but most things of that nature need repeating ... she's 18 years old and is overseas right now after being away for 6 weeks .. she'll be back in a bit over a week at which time i'm planning on putting into effect some major changes in our relationship .. wish me luck !!! ...
the E.Coli ppl probably dont like being told wot to do either .. you know when ppl do the exact opposite because they dont like being told!!! ... cutting off their noses to spite their faces .. dont know the results of E.Coli but i reckon it could be a whole heap worse than that!!! ...
looking forward to seeing lucisart .. at first i thought you might'v used it on the bricks but realised it was probably just the pattern .. they're an excellent brick behind the insect!! .. i'm focusing on the bricks right now coz on the weekend we went looking for some to match the existing ones on the house coz we're doing an extension .. we werent successful matching them tho ..
obviously this it too long for a 'post reply' and a pm would'v been the way to go .. sorry, but its staying .. :)

i just had to open this even tho i'm in a hurry ...
i should just go into my lounge room right now and take a quick shot of our lounge on which there's a doona all messed up and some pillows which hasnt been tidied up from a few days ago.. (i havent been home much, and that's my story!!!!) ... it has the same feel as this scene of yours ... COMFORTABLE !!!! ...
did you use the perfectum on this?? . wotever you did looks great .. love your colouring .. :) try lucisart AND perfectum .. some great results can be had !!!!!:):)x

another great read and another great shot ... and if you do put yourself out there and actually smile and say hi to total strangers you'll get so many different reactions .. i find that the positive ones far outweigh the ones that are negative .. to have a nice moment with a total stranger is just excellent ... :)
