Addictionby JuliBocComment: Julianne,
You may not have received a high vote in this, but I think it is both artistic and lovely. In fact, I think this belongs in a gallery somewhere. Truly. I would have voted this very, very high had I voted in this challenge. |

Train 2by WriteHeartComment: I actually like the "before" version quite a bit better than the "after" version - although the colors are great in after, it looks a bit too sharpened. I really like this photo - I think trains are a hard subject, especially in color, but you pulled it off. |

gum leavesby rozComment: Roz, love how you did the overlay here. The noise might detract if this were a large print, but looks fine on screen. |

Great Egretby JuliBocComment: Hi Julianne,
I have to agree with Bob on this - while the lighting on his wings is lovely, I'm afraid it looks like classical side-lighting, not backlighting. I didn't vote in this challenge, but admit I would have stumbled a little on the application of contre-jour to this photo. Great capture, though! Good keeper for your portfolio. |

obviously this is my better side!by rozComment: This is fantastic! To do this well with a non-person in a portrait challenge indicates that it is a top-notch photo! The funky horns are great. |
