This is a fabulously highly detailed macro capture of this dandelion! Wonderful tones and textures in this one. I love how you can see each and every whispy 'branch' of this delicate plant. The title is perfect too for we see in the composition the one strand that appears to be poised ready to take flight away from the main core. Very lovely work. |

Oh Chaimelle. Knowing the symbolism of the beautiful photo makes it so emotive to me. My heart is so with you. What a roller coaster of emotions it is, huh? Pride in their accomplishments. Fear of the unknown. Grief over them not being home all the time. Sigh. I can still get teary-eyed thinking about when my oldest son went off to college!
But trust me: It WILL be okay!!! :)

Nice range of tones throught the image. Also like the interaction between the sharp/well defined fibers and the softer, more muted fiber in the background. Got a bit of jagged edges showing up on my screen though as if it were just a hair too sharp. USM with fine lines is always a tough one though. Overall, really nice shot. |

One of my favorite "flowers", so to speak, is dandelions. And I think your shot is my favorite of all time.
I love the story and the title.
And being the mother of two grown men now, it'll work out A-OK. Enjoy. |

I'm always fascinated with these little moments that are captured, or is it staged? I can't even tell. Very nice and simple. I like the use of negative space. |
