2007: Down in Flamesby SandyPComment: Sandy, this must have really been something to see! Great photojournalism here. It is really too bad about that rancher's land, though. I also hope his livestock was not hurt! |

Ice Climber by IvoComment: Does this mean you were climbing a parallel waterfall to achieve this shot, LOL? What great perspective and composition. Something different. Can't help with your hamster though. |

Moonlight Sonata by LalliSigComment: What a great way to start the new year Larus! That's such a long exposure that the waterfall looks otherworldly. Really wonderful work! |

Icy Blue Finger of Winterby bassboneComment: Woo hoo, Peter, another HM to add to your growing collection! What a fantastic photo this is. That background lighting is absolutely stunning. Almost looks like the icicle is in a studio it is so well lit. You are really kicking my butt lately but couldn't be happier to see you producing such fine work :-) |

a cold drop at dusk / tempers the cling of water / jewels on dead leavesby skewsmeComment: Colleen, I just came across this (checking out photos after return from extended trip to Montana) and think it's superb. Really outstanding colors and composition with those drops. Will add that "Sabi" is also the root of the modern word "sabishii" which refers to loneliness. You captured the idea of fleeting beauty very well here. |

Untitledby bmartuchComment: Bob - I really like this, and think you were brave to go with a portrait with eyes closed. I think it might be even stronger with some area cropped from the top and right, but it sets a mood and is very interesting. Edit to add: I just saw your score and am a bit incredulous. Any photo that tells a story is worth a lot more than a 4.3! Message edited by author 2008-01-08 09:53:52. |

Stillness After the Snowby bassboneComment: Peter, this is a great b/w conversion and a beautiful scene. I admit I prefer the second outtake (squarish one) as I think the softer colors suit the mood of the day better - the entry looks just a tad oversharpened to me. Lovely as usual though! |

Disconnectby levyj413Comment: Jeffrey, this is very cool. I love your take on the contest theme and think this one should have scored a bit higher. Great concept and execution! |
