White Palmby fldaveComment: Brightening the whites a bit would have added even more contrast. Beyond that its a cool shot. |

Water Tankby AllurNeedZComment: Interesting idea but there's not really a lot to look at. The result is that most of the frame is dead space. |

Crescendoby scalvertComment: I was going to just go through the shots once and then come back. This one stopped me in my tracks. Yeah the long exposure water shot has been done to death but I still like it and this one is great one. The b&w conversion works well here as it brings out some dramatic tones. Interesting compostion that allows your eye to casually explore the shot finding little nuggets here and there.
Great shot. |

In-Vogueby ALAComment: A little heavy handed on the processing which has resulted in posterizing. A good shot that you simply pushed too hard in post. |

Hypnosisby ATX202Comment: Greetings from the critique club.
Nice lighting to works well with the subject and the draping. I like the pose and the composition used. I am curious to see what this would look like with the exact same pose but with her eyes looking at the camera.
Interesting colors and the textures add to a nice soft feel even though the light is somewhat hard (but not unpleasant).
As previous commenters mention, perhaps having the model remove the nose ring may have been beneficial. Jewellry tends to shine and draw attention where you don't want it (in this case her nose rather than her eyes).
Overall, well done and a great portrait.

Enjoy the Lakeby rlewisComment: Greetings from the critique club!
Lots to like in this shot.
A simple but effective pose
A great complimentary serene background
The model is nicely engaged with the camera
It could do with a little more contrast I think but that's subjective.
I think the only reason it didn't do better is because even though its well done it wasn't a whole lot different than a lot of entries. The top entries generally had something just a little extra.
Overall though its a great entry. |

Memories of a childhoodby hajekaComment: Judging from the book I am guessing you are dutch. Unique take on the challenge. Perhaps putting a rope into the picture and some flowers or something might have added to the shot. |

Portrait of a Modern Day Cowboyby RitaDComment: Interesting capture. It would be nice if horse and rider were looking at the camera. Not sure what's got their attention but its not you. |
