DNMC - no year in the title, and I don't associate this with any particular year. (perhaps I'm showing my ignorance). From an artistic standpoint, I think this image would be better if you had put a back drop behind the Buddha to hide the distracting background.

I love the effect. Good depiction (even if it is a bottle of vitamins).

Like the image and the idea. One point off because you didn't put the year in the title.

Terrific!! This is my year too, and I am particularly impressed with your creativity. I couldn't think of anything I was happy with so I went for Perspective. Not just for the year, but for the image and creativity - 10.

Wow! This is soooo... much better. I'll give you a 10 on this one. I like those hills in the foreground that were blocked by the border in the old version.

I think this shot was under rated. I was one of the 6's. I agree about the over sharpening. Maybe you should try 'smart sharpen' if you are using CS2. That seems to create fewer, or less severe halos than USM. I like the concept of the transparent border, but on the bottom, it may be detracting from the feeling of distance to the castle. Maybe it would work better if it were the same width as the sides and top, or you might have to eliminate it all together. (You'd have to change the color of the text then.) I like your choice of font and the trees framing the shot.

I like the diagonal lines of the benches, the fence, and the river with the lights of the bridge scooping up on the far right. You captured the great attraction of the Brooklyn Promenade: the walk, the benches, and the expansive view of Manhattan.

I like the text where it is. First of all, in the Western world, the eye reads from left to right and top to bottom. To reverse that would make the card a little uncomfortable. And second, the lower text is well situated on the promenade.

Nice going. I'm not sure it would attract much attention on the postcard rack, but it's a very nice image. BTW what's a high pass layer?

Congratulations on a wonderful photo and great finish. Love the shot - gave it a 10. I don't think there is a lack of color. I think there is a beautiful soft, warm, subtle color.
