Dune sprintby scotthadlComment: I like the tilt, the sepia sky and water, and the blur of the birds. This really focuses the attention on the runner. Nice composition. |

Born to the Purpleby levyj413Comment: Thanks for the compliment above -- it is a nice surprises.
I don't agree that this is over exposed. I really like the light and exposure. The effect you achieved is almost 3-D. My only regret about this shot is that I can't see to the bottom of those stamen or pistils (I don't know flower parts). My eye keeps going to the bottom of the shot and trying to peek in behind the lower edge of the frame. Message edited by author 2007-09-04 01:09:07. |

Chocolate G E R B E R A S by sherpetComment: I love your composition and the processing. The dark ones really do look like chocolate. It must have been hard to cut those beautiful flowers. |

Orange and Greenby jaysonmcComment: It looks like starfish, but I don't know what those googlie eyes are. I like the color, the composition and the textures. Do add a photog. note to tell what this is. |

Mona Lisa with a Pearl Earingby raishComment: This is a lovely shot of a lovely girl. I agree that the surface blur on her skin is a little too much, and since this is natural light, there wasn't much to do about the shadow while you were snapping it. You might try filter>render>lighting effects to add a bit of light to the left side of her face. Might help, might be awful, but might be worth a try. I'm sure the girl will love it the way it is. BTW, I think you got robbed on the score. |

Vesnaby purpleflutterby13Comment: I like the lighting a lot. For the purposes of a portrait I would like to see this cropped a lot, bringing it in to include just her head and shoulders. For a beer ad, this is excellent. It might be fun to play with a cropped version in PS. I'd try selective desat of the cushion and background with a warm tone (sepia?) added, and I'd also try blurring the background more. That might make it more of a portrait and less of a candid. You might also try the cropped version in B&W, which is always effective for portraits if the lighting is good. |

Eyesby BAMartinComment: As I already said I really like this image. I forgot to add that I rated it 10. Congratulations on a very good shot and an excellent score. Hey, and you got one of those Posthumous ribbons. Way to go! |
