Sand dunes cape Kiawanda
I wanted a little blur but not too much so shutter speed 125th f9 for good DOF

All kinds of people were climbing the dune then sprinting down some were easily running faster than 10 second 100s. If only I had caught a few of the spills from too much speed.

I'm glad this photo made the top fifty, but I expected it to make the top ten (fyi, I was one of your "10" voters). So many elements suggest speed. I like the tilt of the land and how the man's blurred feet contrast with the clarity in his arm and torso. The blurred birds are interesting, too.

Good crop - it really adds to the feeling of speed.

I like the tilt, the sepia sky and water, and the blur of the birds. This really focuses the attention on the runner. Nice composition.

the composition is interesting... but there's nothing going on here that really captures my attention. i find the dark spots in the top right corner very distracting...
