I like the cheerful bright flowers. I also like the fungus. Something about the top of the stump bothers me. It is a little hard for my eye to process, perhaps there is too much contrast there or too much sharpening.

urban motley on acid

I have never heard of Urban Acid, but I like this effect. I like the way it took away the shadow on the white wall and downplayed the bricks in the foreground. I would mask the high red wall to bring back that interesting color and texture, and I think I would mask the sign in the foreground to bring back some of that red.

I like this a lot. I think the subject is very good for impressionism, and I like the extreme red of the model's hair. The costume is great, and I really like the light blowing out her face slightly. I happen to like the PS filters, when applied artistically, but I don't think the average DPC voters do. Anyway, I like this one better than your entry, which was good too.

I probably would have given this a 5. I find the circles distracting. The colors, light, reflection and composition are pleasing. I agree it's hard watching the voters kick a shot you like, but unfortunately I'm getting used to that.

Reflections And Lily Pads

This is beautiful, Terry. I love the light and the composition of the lily pads. The background is a perfect complement, and does a good job of imitating impressionistic painting.
