I like it the way it is. With a black background the subject wouldn't stand out, and I like that nice green of the pencil sharpener. I think it would work in b&w or sepia, but I think something would be lost too.

I like it. Hard to imagine this pleasing image came from that coffee tray. I applaud your creativity. BTW, I have a gorilla pod too and find it very useful.

Love the duotone look of this. The light is beautiful. I would take that shot everyday if it was near me. You must love all the subtle differences you see each day.

Beautiful color, focus, and texture, and an adorable subject. I really like this shot. Could use a little noise reduction in the background.

My eye is drawn immediately to the plane, and then to the trailing spray. I like the scene, but I am distracted by the noisy sky. Having the horizon on the 1/3 line instead of 1/4 might balance the composition a little better.

Looks very familiar. I think we were out there on a boat during the FL GTG last Fall. I love the aqua color of the sea, but I think there may be a bit of color cast overall. I'd play around a bit with color balance to see it improves. Sometime I never know until I try it.

Nice composition and b&w conversion. I think I would have cloned out those imperfections on the rod. The healing brush would probably remove them very easily.

It's quite amazing that you were able to get this very impressive photo out of the faded and ill-composed original. I love the crop, and the b&w conversion, and the contrast. The grain is interesting and I like that too.

I like it, but I doubt if it would score well. Most voters don't like blur, or filters. It is definitely legal to get the zoom blur by manipulating the lens. But I think it is not legal to use the filter to distort the original. There are two bullets in the "You May Not" section of the rules that would apply to this.
