Nice composition. I like the way the man and birds balance each other. Something seems a little odd about the processing. Did you use tone-mapping. What I am referring to is the lack of any detail in the far background and the slight halos around the things along the dock. I'm not saying that's bad, just that I'm curious about what was done to the original.

It's always a thrill for me to see these exotic birds in the wild. Thanks for the tip about the f-stop to hide the fence. I had never thought of using shallow DOF for that purpose. I can hear a great collective "Duh!", but sometimes I don't think of the obvious.

Shez, I love this shot. I have a series of shots I call "Bird Faces" that are similar to this. I wam fascinated by how individual each birds face is, even within the same species. I like this even better than my own, and I like mine a lot. :P

How could anyone score the image lower than 4??? It's an outrage. At least most of the voters recognized this as being above average. The kitten is adorable and the texture is excellent -- I can feel that soft fur and prickly straw. I want to reach into the picture and pick it up.

While I like the rainbow, I particularly like the lower 1/3 of the image. Nice light and contrast there.
