Oh well done: I really loved this image. So pleased it did well. It has the warmth and character that I love so much (not to mention it's ALSO in black and white - which makes me go weak in the knees at the best of times!).

This is fantastic: I absolutely love the capture of the face... Just a teeny bit of issue with the B+W conversion: seems a bit grey. I would have loved a tiny bit of a tighter crop and a bit more contrast to lessen the grey of the hands. I'm not a high contrast fan myself, but I think this could have done with a tweek more. Nevertheless 9!

I love this idea: I think I would have liked a hand holding the newspaper...just to give the general composition some life...more than being a still life if you know what I mean?? Nice palette that carries through to the horizon. I like that the eye can move off from the table shot and on down the road...not many of these table shots have managed to do that: incorporate distance into the main theme of the image.
