 Small cafe in Sacramento I often frequent. Set up outside to catch morning traffic going into the cafe. Just happened to be flipping the paper when I snapped this shot and liked it the best. Thought about using it in the shallow dof challenge, but decided it would probably do better here.

I love this idea: I think I would have liked a hand holding the newspaper...just to give the general composition some life...more than being a still life if you know what I mean?? Nice palette that carries through to the horizon. I like that the eye can move off from the table shot and on down the road...not many of these table shots have managed to do that: incorporate distance into the main theme of the image.

The coloring is ver nice. I think that there may be too much going on in the background, but it sort of works for the picture.

i love that this is taken downtown. its really nice how everything on the table is sharp, and how everything in the background is out of focus but you can still see what's there. great job, i like your idea.
