I'm all for freedom of speech, but i would have used a more civil wording. It really detracts from an otherwise fine image. I'm sure this would sell well with giddy Spring Breakers to send home to their roommate.

Not sure you could get away with the "keeping the lights" wording. Tom Bodette might have something to say about that ;) But the image itself is very nice, and I like the choice of font.

Lights on - Iceland

it hurts to give such a low score to a beautiful subject, the Northern Lights. But technically, this shot is poor. The noise is terrible. Even the text is blurry. Are those stars or hot pixels?

seems like a chance snapshot. a head-on perspective or at least a view of his face would have made for a more personal post-card. Also the composition is not very strong, with the partial house, the power line coming out of his head, and a partial sign on the left. I often have trouble with the same thing. I get so excited about the main subject, and don't even notice the background until it's too late (back home a week later!)
