WOW! by scooter88Comment: This image reminds me of John Lanoue's work who used to be here on DPC. I still miss that guy's work! A celestial cornucopia that makes one wonder what is far beyond all those distant stars. Congrats on your ribbon! Message edited by author 2011-06-19 11:06:52. |

Stillby sjhulsComment: Jenn...is this a self-portrait? Is that you in the photo? I like the moodiness of this photo...the thoughtful pose of the person and the dimensional echoes of the pier squares. The focus appears a bit soft for my taste and the heavy frame feels claustrophobic in a photo that demands breathing space. Beautiful location! |

Sally Sells Seaweed By the Sea Shore...by mbrutus2009Comment: The clarity of the ultra-blue captures my heart immediately as I love this particular color, and the quality of the tones invites me to sit here for a while and enjoy this scene. The delicate tendrils of the clouds create the feeling of motion balanced with the infinity of the underlying almost an underwater impression. The foreground interest of the rocks give the impression of not quite knowing what to do with this part of the image. If the processing brought out the golden tones more perhaps that would help to anchor the rocks to the photo. Otherwise, those rocks sit there in a half state neither in complete detail or strong silhouette. Also, I can't figure out why you put those lines in the border on an image all about being border-less. Just my two cents...;-) Message edited by author 2011-06-13 12:04:22. |
