The Butterflyby JedusiComment: Hot pink spots; nice! The flowers are a lovely complement to the butterfly. I agree that a deeper DOF would be nice but then sometimes you have to get the shot and don't have time to fiddle with settings. |

wildthings2.jpgby icu1965Comment: I see clover, maybe phlox, asters, and/or butterfly weed. There's a bunch that look alike till the plants get bigger. Looks like you're going to have a lot of flowers :-) |

134.jpgby BujanxComment: How cool! Beavers aren't usually out and about where you can photograph them. He looks quite alarmed at the sight of you ;-) |

Burrowing Owlby PrismComment: I love the way he's looking out from uner his "eyebrows." Great expression :-) |

wildthings1.jpgby icu1965Comment: Very inconsiderate of them to do this in the shadows instead of in that patch of sunlight over to the right! I agree about playing with levels; might also try a tighter crop if you've got the pixels.
I saw a Redbellied Woodpecker feeding her offspring yesterday. Camera was nowhere nearby, of course. It is a lovely moment to capture, even if it happens too fast to capture it perfectly. |

Baltimore Orioleby riderComment: Gorgeous bird; well composed with nice, dreamy leaves in the background. Not quite as sharp as I'd like and I'd suggest dodging the catchlight in the eye to really bring it out. |

Swimming Lessonby PoobaComment: What a lot of little goslings! Nice diagonal and of course (to me) the babies are adorable. Whites are a bit blown on mom and dad but if the exposure were darker you'dve lost detail on the kids. |

Starry Nightby KenComment: I think I've seen this shot from the other side (or a similar subject) but it's still gorgeous and incredibly well done. Starry lights and soft, soothing pastels, great composition ... perfect. |
