Not looking too happy about whatever he's seeing. Reminds me of a kid wading into crab-infested water ;-) Great pose and the reflection adds a lot to the image. I might try bumping the contrast just a bit.

I'm kind of torn on this one. I like the composition and DOF and the detail on the birds, and the patterns in the foreground ripples. The yellow ... kind of overwhelms the image. It's not a color that complements little brown birds. But you lose all the drama if you desaturate it and I'm not sure a hue shift would look natural. Gee, that was helpful, wasn't it? ;-p

Love the light coming through the wings :-) Not an easy shot to expose, I'd wager! I'd try desaturating the parts of the bird with a bluish cast to make him look even more angelic.

Very striking lighting and astounding detail. Almost film noir hawk. I can't look away from that mesmerizing eye! I'll be interested to see your notes on this one; I get these guys in my yard periodically and have gotten a few close shots, but none as intriguing as this.

He's so cute!!! He looks like the little guy who starred with a snail in the Grimms' Fairy Tale challenge. Great detail and very engaging expression.
