Me as a mother by unnevaComment: Generally speaking, I am not keen on b+w photos, nor on the high key approach. Yet here you have combined both and I love it, it works. Lighting, composition, Mom's facial expression..... everything comes together into one very beautiful photo. 9 |

space amoebaby BeetleComment: Thank you very much, Heather and "Macro", for taking the time to comment.
I did try it with more light on the amoeba, but decided that didn't make sense.... something floating out there wouldn't look like that.
I KNEW that the darkness would end up an issue, but it just HAD to be that way *g*, though a more transparent blob could have been interesting!
This is one of those cases where there IS no right and wrong.
I completely respect your opinions and appreciate your time.
It was good to hear your views even though I still like it just the way it is - simply an issue of different personal tastes :-) |

Frozen Faunaby chozenfrozenComment: Frozen fauna? That is so sad...... where is the poor creature?
I like the lighting on the trees... beautiful mood in this photo, but not the best example for this challenge. |

Silver Elvisby bucketComment: Yup, this looks like city. Nice choice of subject and I"m glad you didn't turn it b&w. |

Riding the Subwayby jpetersComment: Perhaps a touch on the dark side (I have often suffered the wrath of people who don't see much detail on their monitors), but I like it a lot.
The motion blur vs the static people works very well here. |

Close Quartersby kdkaboomComment: A different take on it, but it works for me. Nice POV and angle. Good choice of title, too. |
