The negative space seems excessive. The dog part of the image is strong, perhaps a tighter crop?

Great use of a pet. So often we see pets used without other reference points. You've managed to make the dog a more attractive choice for voters to view by placing it in front of a scene - Thank you for releaving me of viewing pets without trimmings - GRIN!
