the Light side of the apleby shay455Comment: Whoa. While from the title I believe your intent was to have a bright light on one side of the apple, it is too blown out for my taste. |

Youth Of The Sunby JudiComment: I guess DPC is feeding me these images as "save the best for last" as I am now encountering some of the best images in the competition. What can I say, but fantastic shot! 10. |

Lightby cmsuamberComment: Definitely got the lighting, but the color schemes are all pretty neutral so they blend a bit. Something with a bit more color contrast would give the picture a Wow factor. Composition is good. |

Stepping Outby ImagineerComment: Very cool shot! Not even sure exactly what I'm looking at. All the colors and streaks are great. I'd prefer maybe only one of the white places like the one under his feet as my eye goes to the one on the left and then says, wait, the subject is over there on the one to the right.

City Lights by seebrownComment: There have been a lot of shots of boats in this challenge and this is the first one to really give me any Wow factor. Nice job. Great graudation of blues to blacks. Only my 3rd 10 out of 260 reviewed. Should be a ribbon and if not, definitely a top 10 IMO. |

Friedby aaronwaveComment: Great shot of the fair. Nice use of lighting and colors. I am a little intrigued by the the swooping light in the bottom left corner. The spinning top is really cool and reminds me of a wicker basket. 9. |

M a g i c L i g h tby tonodzComment: The model is pretty and though there are various areas of increased/decreased lighting, I don't really like where the lighting is hitting (fings and left of head). The bright sunlight forming the dot to the left side draws my eyes there (to a wood pole) first rather than to the model as the subject. There is also a bright dot on the head/hair rather than one near the face that would draw me to the subjects' face.
This is a great composition and a nice portrait but the lighting just needs to be adjusted a bit IMO. |

Melba-Liteby ernstlindeComment: Title helps. Thanks. It is like a nice piece of abstract art hanging in a gallery. It is refreshing to see some people be creative here where you don't have to take a shot of a sunrise/sunset to make a good "lighting" photo. 8. |
