Nice picture, I believe it would look even better with a bit more contrast. The tail is already blown out, I doubt you'd lose more detail by increasing the hightlight levels a little.

Nice contrasting colors here. The issue I have with this picture is that it is difficult to identify the object. thus, it becomes distracting, that is, you spend your time trying to figure out what it is rather than admiring/enjoying the image.. It is a can opener, is it not?
