Water Chemistry by IreneMComment: Only a photographer of your caliper can make an ordinary syringe look great. |

He was a friend that I could not reachby CorySmithComment: It took me a while to see the little doll floating, I assume that is the result of the 'crime' , but then, I wouldn't know how to connect the tittle to it. Nice looking body of water though. I am not voting in this challenge 'cause I am in it, so, no score, just this comment. |

Crime Scene: 2000 through 2008by wehrmacherComment: What do you think you are going to get by making a political statement in a photo contest? high votes from those that agree with you? perhaps, but what about the other 50% who do not agree with you? so...it can't be that...then what? vent some anger perhaps?...do you feel better now?
I am not voting in this challenge because I am in it, but if I was voting I would score you photo very low, because your arrogance in trying to inject politics in this game would make me see with more severe eye the blown out areas atop the building, the unbalanced composition due to the foreground tree, the excessively hard light with exagerated contrast...and so on. In reality, this a reasonably nice picture, with positives such as beautiful green colors and a very nicely exposed sky, it is too bad that you decided to waste it. |

In the shadowsby IreneMComment: I thought this would ribbon. Personally I love the fact that you can make out the hat in your imagination (without even thinking about it) prompted only by the lower outline and the ribbon around it, so, the fact that the rest of it blends with the background is an added feature, the way I see it.
This excellent portrait is another example of the amazing diversification process we are witnessing of Irene.
Rembrandt (obviously) did not have studio lights at his disposal, only windows; so did Irene for this picture.
