country yardby friscaComment: Great tones and composition. I could see this in a really wonderful series of photos on country life. Excellent work. |

Country Homeby GeneralEComment: This shot really does nothing for me. The subject appears to just be some weeds, which isn't that interesting in any way. I'm guessing that your intended subject was that dark area, and I assume it's a nest or something like that, but you can't really tell that from the photo. |

Pond in the Woodsby DiamondPeteComment: Very nice reflections. Seems very tranquil. The light shining through the forest seems almost magical. |

Little Forest Cottageby MonaComment: Nice cottage. What's up with the ghost though? Pretty freaky! I think this would be better shot from a different angle so that the well didn'toverlap with the rest of the house. It is a good addition, but the way it's so centered in this makes it compete with the house when it should be complimenting it. |

Country Mouse Catcherby DoorskidderComment: Very cute shot. nice capture with the tongue on the nose. Good expression in the eyes. I'd crop it closer to emphasise the important parts. I'd put the eye in the top right thirds position. |

What are you looking at?by deadbirdComment: Dahahaha. That's the funniest darn rooster I ever seen! Hilarious. The dynamic tilting of the horizon line really works well. It gives the sense that he's tilting his head to the side without it actually being tilted, which would look funny. It also adds to his confused look, like maybe your grabbing him by the legs and spinning him around or something! The red contrasts well with the blue sky and green grass. This shot would be perfect without the tractor or whatever that is. Marvelous capture. I'm hoping you get a ribbon (Roosters have in the past, so it seems likely...) |

Dad's Ole Shoeby fleenkComment: Cool subject. never thought of doing that with my old shoes. The light seems a bit bright at the top, which is especially bad because that's where the interesting part of your subect was (the flowers). Other than that I find this shot appealing. Maybe you could have taken it and put it somewhere simpler like a grass field and shot it. I guarantee that if you took the boot and flowers and put them on a mirror with a reflection of nice clouds you'd get a pretty fanciful score! Cheers. |

Alone in the Meadowby lykofosComment: Like the colors and the shadow across the flower. Think it might be a little to bright in the light areas and could use a little levels work. Good luck. |

Country cowsby kebbieComment: There are a few simple things you could do to drastically improve the quality of this shot. Tilt it slightly left so that the horizon is more even, move up a little bit (or possible even left, but I'm not sure cause I'm not there) to get rid of the flowers that are so close in the immediate foreground, and use a larger f# to increase your depth of field. |
