Grief.by PrashComment: Hi Prash. I gave this a 6. The folded-up sitting figure is interesting, the standing figure conveyed action of some kind but what? I still don't much like the bit of ceiling at the top, or the baseboard/carpet, it places this in a specific location & if you're going to do that you may as well include furniture & clothes. I couldn't make up my mind about the window light pattern on the wall, but in the end I decided I liked it & that's why I gave it a 6. |

Tree Dahlia With Beeby jomariComment: No wait, it's the same bee! Seriously, though, I like your choices in PP, the blue sky sets this off nicely. I like the border on your Eucalyptus bee better. Message edited by author 2010-06-22 10:17:06. |

leaf swirlby JustCareeComment: Carrie, if you have time, google 'histogram' & see if you can find the histogram info in your PP software. 'Blown out' is slang for loss of detail. Of course, if the white edge of the leaf had little detail to begin with, you can't catch very fine detail with anything but light coming in low & from the side, called 'raking light.' FWIW, 'blown out' wasn't the first thing I thought when I looked at this--I thought "ooh, cool." I've spent my fair share of time trying to capture cana lily leaves (or are these banana tree leaves?)--they do such interesting things in the light. Keep on clickin'! |

Japanese Maple Leafhopperby MaryOComment: The variety of bugs is amazing--thanks for this up-close view. Getting these fast-moving tiny things in focus, handheld--waugh! The flash looks perfect to me--good job. I keep trying & failing. |
