Autumnnal Reflectionby jomariComment: You know, upside down reflections are my #1 pick for photo impressionism. This is a beauty. The lily pad reminds me of the full moon. |

Around Yellowby banmornComment: I've been following your flower shots since before I joined this site. It has been interesting to appreciate your choice of BG/context for your flowers, & the way you use the light. I keep thinking I can recognize your work during voting, but you keep surprising me. So, thanks! |

Frilly Begoniaby jomariComment: Thanks for the info included in comments, I read it with interest. Also the camera settings. A flower show usually has surprisingly awful lighting & I think it goes un-noticed because our sight can compensate so well for it. Something only a photog would know! This one stood out for me during voting for the combination of low light and color clarity, so I was doubly glad you included PP comments. The square crop works well w/this. I guess it depends on the computer's power but I have learned to crop last. If the image is PP & saved before cropping then I have something to work with if I need a different crop. I have tried to duplicate my PP on the same image so I can crop differently, but I have never been able to do it. Which is wierd, but I have read the same comment from others. Anyway, good job! |

The Man From Isca And The Silver Circusby rooumComment: This proves the old adage "It's better to be lucky than good." Of course, you had to also Be There, ready. I can't tell you how much I admire the Renaissance light in this, the combination of earth colors & primary colors, the feeling of suspended Action. It's mesmerizing! |

Little forestby fridjoComment: Oh! Looks like you got a lucky sunbeam there. I appreciate this for having spent some time w/my camera on the ground trying to get a keeper, & the one I entered got a 5.1, a much higher score than I expected. I love this one for the interesting abstract qualities created by the color & light, & for the sharp detail you managed to capture. IMO it's a difficult subject, in a difficult location (did you get any spider bites?) & often w/difficult light. Good job! I hope yours get a much higher score than mine!

Happy Springby DCrest01Comment: Amazing camera angle that controls the shadows & takes full advantage of some lovely light. The BG bokeh is beautiful. The camera angle & crop work together to create the illusion that this little dogwood blossom is as big as a golf umbrella, giving me a smile & a nice spring feeling. |

Late Bloomersby jomariComment: This is like a mini-vacation, it take me somewhere. At night. Jazz on the wind. Stars. A breeze off the ocean. |
