When just memories remainby PaulComment: I love the light & shadow in this. My feminist side doesn't much care for the way she is presented in this photo, but that says more about me than about you. I think it's worth a fav anyway. It's interesting that I can know nothing of the reality of the shot, or of your intent. All I have is my own personal reaction to what I see on the screen in front of me. Another reason for the fav is the treat of having strong reactions to a shot, even if they make me uncomfortable. |

Week 4by sempermarineComment: In this series of portraits, each one is unique but with a style that carries clearly from one to another. And the style is unique, strong, uncompromising. I am impressed. There has to be a gallery somewhere that would be very interested in this collection. Well done--huzzah! The side challenges here are amazing--I would never have noticed these but for this side challenge. Thank you. Message edited by author 2012-01-28 22:17:21. |

IMG_2515by GilesComment: Instant fave! This would fit perfectly into the Magic & Mystery challenge. Yes, maybe a dog, but also maybe a magical creature you have taught to walk on a leash. People see what they expect to see, so everyone assumes it is in fact a dog. But, no. Message edited by author 2012-01-28 15:02:44. |

Refueled and Ready For Take Offby PenelopeKComment: Yes that's on of the main attractions of a camera for me--that it can show me what I can't see on my own. And birds offer so much! Their wings are amazing. Sweet shot. |

Smackby jomariComment: It is a fun exercise, to shoot without a viewfinder, it makes me aware of the camera's focal plane. This one turned out very well (you still have your sense of timing) "D ! |

Untitledby MinsoPhotoComment: 'Quirky combination of textures' was my first reaction. Also different BW tones. The composition feels unsettling. Don't know if that is what you were aiming for. JMO. Message edited by author 2012-01-27 20:58:01. |

Gullsby PenelopeKComment: I love the soft color & the movement. But I see only the flying bird (sorry!) with lovely tail feathers. |
