I've not participated much lately at DPC and I'm sorry I didn't vote in this challenge. I picked your photo as my Blue Ribbon. I thought most of the other entries were 'snap-shot-ish' and too much 'in the box'. You took advantage of the 'Expert' edit to create something different AND your subjects of the photo made a person have to use that...ummm...what do you call it? Oh, Brain! Hmmm...no wonder...people need to look past the obvious - something painfully difficult I think these days. Anyway - great work. I really like it. The focus is excellent and the title is trophy!

Hi Eve,

Thanks for relating your daughters comment about my 'Fly By Night' photo. It didn't do to well in that particular challenge but it was fun to 'make'. I must admit, I haven't participated in many challenges lately - I've been to busy doing purely Aviation Photography. I must say I admire your dedication to your floral photography - it's really good. But this photo caught my eye as it's close to home. Great job and I love the B&W. I just hope the water levels don't fall to much more, they've just recently moved a whole boat pier due to the falling water levels. A local and hopefully not globally problem but I'm afraid it is.
