day 17 - looking for inspirationby GinaRothfelsComment: There's something about the bulb that is appealing, and the prism reflections are cool. Funny how the bulb's edge looks blurred but the printing on the bulb is clear. |

Day 15 - Road Less Traveledby BAMartinComment: Wow, this looks beautiful. Must be hot in the summer -- I hope you carry emergency water in the car. :-)
Really nice variety of earth and sky colors. |

Fallingby jonfrommkComment: Cool shot, Jon. You caught a lot of open sky around the falling man. I gave this a 7, it would have been higher but for the heavy noise in the sky. I hope you don't mind, but as an experiment I copied your photo, selected the man using the wand, inverted the selection, and ran a high denoise function (I have Paint Shop Pro 9). It seemed to work well.
EDIT: posting at your suggestion:
Most people here don't know about parkour (le parcours) except for as seen in a couple of car commercials. I wasn't aware of it until I saw the movie Banlieu 13. It would be cool to see a live exhibition. Message edited by author 2007-07-19 13:33:42. |

Day 16by kellyrc01Comment: I've got the final book on pre-order (something I've never done before), but I didn't want to pay for expedited shipping, so it won't arrive until about a week after the official start date.
You managed to keep the light from reflecting off of the book cover, which is good! :-) |

Day 14 before crop.jpgby KenComment: Hey, Ken, thanks for sharing this wider version. I especially like seeing more of the funnel cake truck. That's such a cool lens.
I'll be travelling through your part of the country towards the end of next month, and I hope to photograph some good midwestern Americana of my own while on the trip. I'd love to go to the Indiana or Illinois State fair, but unfortunately they'll be over by the time I pass through.
Cheers,
-- Larry in NYC |

Day 17by CharleneComment: Actually I think this is a very interesting image. It really gets my mind going, wondering what is happening. These are clearly women's shoes, and the b&w adds a touch of elegance, but there is something so awkward about the legs (it makes sense now that I know it's a child). The softness is nice, too. |

7/16 - Lilyby RebeccaComment: Sorry to hear about your back. Last summer I developed a herniated disk, so I know how back pain can limit movement. My back has improved tremendously, I hope your's does, too.
This is a pretty and dreamy photo, the b&w is an excellent choice. Definitely speaks of another era.

7/7 - Modern Meccaby RebeccaComment: Really funny, it does have a prison-look to it, aided by the rather drab desaturated colors around it. Looks like good country to hike around! |

Day No. 16by GermaineComment: I admit, that's the same expression I get if I see someone pointing a camera at me! Yet how else do you get good, natural candids? The b&w and and the somewhat angry expression on the driver make an excellent combination. |

steppenwolfby tapcityComment: Hi, I was one of your "8s" on this. It may have had some technical problems that others found displeasing, but to me it really is nightmarish. It took me awhile to figure out the perspective -- just like in a dream. Plus the guy (you?) shirtless and with the beard looks a bit like a wildman. |
