Mick Fanning (AUS)by gliphixComment: Just stumbled across this image in your portfolio/challenge entries. Beautiful action photo, as someone else said, it's pro-magazine worthy. |

Man, that's amazing. It really is dreamlike. Thanks kindly for answering my question.

Explorationby annigComment: Terrific photo. Love the late day sky in the same shot with the foreground sparkles. Best of all, the human presence. |

Quietby HaneckComment: Hi, Haneck. This was also one of my 10s, and I do think it was way underrated. Sometimes I don't connect with a photo if the animal is facing away from the camera, but in this location it makes perfect sense and complements the half-silhouette of the other horse. Plus you've got the lovely tail contrasting so nicely with the darker browns and blacks. Good textures, tones -- don't let the relatively low placement determine how you feel about this photo. |

Salemby SnapperLComment: You're scaring me. :-)
I'm also smiling because you put this in the Family & Portraiture galleries. Not your usual family photo, unless you're the Addams family, I think. |

electricityby UrfaKComment: Just the right look for a powerline photo. Nicely composed, too. |

dawn at the rockby hotpastaComment: Great shot. I should have recognized the subject from your earlier blue ribbon photo. What really grabs me on seeing this again is how the wave makes a circle around the rock. Terrific light rays, too. Congrats! |

Gray Connemarasby PhotonurdComment: As someone else said, sculptural. I actually thought for a moment they might be statues. This was one of the ten 10s I gave in this challenge. Shocked to see you didn't make the top 25 at least. |

Wide Awake in a Dreamby MAKComment: Sorry you didn't reach your dream score, but this is a great photo -- one of my 10s this round. I sort of want to raise the camera half an inch, but I respect your composition. Out of curiosity, would like to know what the black spot is above the deer on the left. It looks like a bird is sitting on his back, but that couldn't be so, could it? |
