Hi, Haneck. This was also one of my 10s, and I do think it was way underrated. Sometimes I don't connect with a photo if the animal is facing away from the camera, but in this location it makes perfect sense and complements the half-silhouette of the other horse. Plus you've got the lovely tail contrasting so nicely with the darker browns and blacks. Good textures, tones -- don't let the relatively low placement determine how you feel about this photo. |

Thanks so much - and thank you for the mention in the posthumous thread. I was thrilled when I saw that! :) |

Reminds me of a long-married couple settling in for the evening - a quiet, comfortable silence between them, very well understood. |

I like the silhouette, but the rear end of the other horse distracts me from it. I think a closer crop would work better, but overall, this is good and a unique view. |

Ha - the horse split in half - the dark sillouette on the right and the light rear end on the left. Clever composition. He looks at his back half in confusion as if wondering "How did it get over there?" Wonderful lighting. |

I am struggling with rating this image. I really like the lighting on the backend of the horse (pony?) on the left, but struggle with the silhouetted horse on the right (granted it's coat is black). It comes across really unbalanced to me. Good Luck. 5. |

Nice shot, very interesting to have one in light and one not. |
