day16by PuckzzzComment: I feel like a voyeur, and I think it is entirely due to the focus on the tap. It's as if I was looking in through a window and the photo captured the scene just as my eye passed over the tap. Really strange effect, but it works in a pleasing way. |

Drive-in.jpgby jackal9Comment: I'll be honest and hopefully not offend - I think you are missing some real gems with these scenes by not getting in there and looking around. Such wide shots aren't very interesting, but each of them shows glimpses of interesting things which are small or obscured. My free advice - get your shoes dirty and get in there. |

66-West.jpgby jackal9Comment: I want to see that sign on the ticket box. A real photographer would have cut down the shrubs in front of it! Heheheh. Nice scene, again too sharp. You're going to get the jaggies in a scene like this by sizing it down to DPC size, but in the sky and the foreground there are all those little tiny specks caused by too much USM. |

High-Contrast.jpgby jackal9Comment: Hmm. There's high contrast and there's monochrome - this is pretty extreme and probably a very small audience will dig it. Don't I hate it, but it's not really working for me. |

BStore-web.jpgby jackal9Comment: Bit too sharp. All the little white points on the sidewalk are the most glaring result of it. The subject here looks very interesting, I'm wondering if some close-in work might not yield some good shots. |

Day - 14 Old lamp on an old rock home.by JLCComment: Lots of good elements in the shot, and the blurry bit has sort of a 40's movie star soft-glow feel to it. If this is cropped from a larger shot, I would play with the composition. |

Day 14: Curlsby EstimatedEyesComment: Don't think there's anything wrong with your gear. 1/90th shutter speed is what borked your focus here. That's too slow to stop people from blurring out slightly, even when they are standing 'still'.
Nice composition and it looks really good in b/w. |

Day 15: Skyby EstimatedEyesComment: Nice capture of the sky, but there's not a lot going on below to make the shot work. As far as silhouette material (though that challenge is already off and running), that tree on the left is the thing in this shot that looks like it might be interesting. |
