Ladder of Deathby jackal9Comment: Wow - what a perspective. I like the strong contrast between the rungs and the broad sides of the silos. Good detail in the concrete. The way you framed it really makes an impact. I would perhaps try to shift the image ever so slight ccw - .5 degree or less. Looks a bit off level at the top corners, but I can't tell what that would do to the perception of the ladder - maybe it would work, maybe not. |

eight/thirtyby UNCLEBROComment: Love the richness in the tonal range here, and it's funny how the eyes follow you no matter where you stand when looking at it....
Very cool. :) |

Old Boat Shedby sherpetComment: This is a very elegant arrangement - the "closer in" images have fantastic detail and contrast. Great job! |

Day 3by TDCollinsComment: The deep contrast is really working for me here - great dramatic shapes, and you caught the texture in the concrete very well. Maybe the upper part of the sky could use a bit of lightening, just so the tops of the trees don't completely disappear, but overall I think the darkness suits the subject. |

3 -Tagsby JutildaComment: This is such a hard shot to get right - I'm going to go ahead and advise you to get better detail in the blacks next time but honestly I don't know how you would do it. :) Great noble pose, I like how you composed your subject, but the darkest tones need more detail IMO. Can't tell if the overall shadowiness of the image is from processing or if it really was the light you had to work with on the day, but if this was shot when it was overcast, try something similar on a brighter, sunnier day and see if that helps. |

House of Sand and Fogby noranekoComment: Very nice perspective and you picked a good high-contrast pair of subjects (fence and sand) that do well with b&w. |
