I would never submit something this edited into a voting challenge, however when it's all for fun, I'll toss this in and see what you all think of it.

First you are wondering what this is, well so am I. I spotted this a couple of weeks ago and decided to shoot it today at lunch. This is in the middle of the Fresno State campus and I believe it has to do with the Big "V" for our Valley support of our sports teams.

Let me know what you think of this wild edit for a B&W study.

The deep contrast is really working for me here - great dramatic shapes, and you caught the texture in the concrete very well. Maybe the upper part of the sky could use a bit of lightening, just so the tops of the trees don't completely disappear, but overall I think the darkness suits the subject.

Nice geometry and placement. My only comment would be I would rather have seen the dark edit at the top left to match closer to the darkness at the bottom. Being so much darker it draws your eyes up and away from the artscape IMO.

Wow, for a second I thought this was something you would see outside a museum of modern art - in fact I thought that this might be one sculpture at a Museum of Modern Art that I have passed from time to time but never stopped to visit. This composition has lots of WOW factor. Love the tones and contrasts here and that sculpture takes center stage. The triangle art really pops off the page being that it's tones really pop off from the dark sky above and the ground below. Love the shapes of the repeating pattern on the triangles and each one is razor sharp with details from the one in the foreground to the last one in the back. Great job.

If it was in a challenge you'd get a good score from me. Awesome!

Really nice. I'm a big fan of architectural geometry. Boy this suits that bill perfectly. I like the darkness around the triangles.

The angle is striking, as is the subject. It's very dynamic, even if we don't know what it is. In my opinion, the whole photo is a bit dark so that detail gets lost. I like the sky and trees in the background. If they were a wee bit lighter it would possibly benefit the affect of the photo.

Actually something this heavily edited, especially heavily dodged and burned, would probably do well in a challenge...

I like this shot. The geometric shapes it presents appeal to me. I think a tighter crop (even a square crop) might work a little better, especially considering you burned off the top third of the shot anyway. Nice leading lines to draw the eye through the structure and some nice detail on the structure itself.

Nice shot.

I like the processing. It makes the artwork the focal point and brings out its texture.

Nice lighting on that interesting subject -- whatever it is :) I think this is photographed so well in low light because you can see such amazing detail in the texture of the structure. It really makes a nice black and white photo in the setting it's in.

I really like the processing...Maybe a little less grain in the sky? But overall, you have got some great tones going on. What a neat find!

It is a great photo and I like how you did the processing.

That's a cool work of art and you've captured great detail in it. I think the sky is a bit dark, I'd prefer to see more detail with clouds.

Geez...I would be PROUD to submit this in a voting challenge :P
I love the PP but I would crop most of the sky out. It's a very, very nice image!

Agree with sherpet it really pulls you into the center, not sure about the sky, overall a good portrayal.

You have certainly done this sculpture justice. Like the treatment on the scuplture itself but the sky seems overly dark particularly over the tree.

Overall I like the processing for this which seems appropriate for your subject and the effect you are going for. I like the grainyness too, but perhaps a bit too much in the sky. Finally if you're going to process this far I would try and get rid of the cars on the lower R of the picture. OVerall though it's an effective picture.

OK here is the fun/maddening thing about comments...They often contradict each other...Think its a very striking image, but I dont like the pp effect on the sky. Personally I would crop just above the piece of art

I would give it an 8 on a voting challenge. I think its well composed and expertly post processed.
