Anand Karajby SimmsComment: Lusciously deep red - great red, fabulous red; such a standout shot for the selective desat technique. Positively reverent. |

Security guardsby boodComment: He's got a look as if to say, "yeah, we know who *really* does all the work around here". :) One of my personal favorites in the challenge - and the vignette works very well here, not too much and highlights your subject effectively. |

Wild Suzieby TonkaComment: Very straightforward and elegant composition and fantastic color contrast. The border's a nice touch, too. One of my 10's in the challenge. |

Morning Gardenby banmornComment: This is a nicely focused shot, and stands on its own merits as such, but I find myself wishing you'd get that pin sharp flower out of the way so I could see better that delightfully blurry background panoply. That really is a lovely bokehed abstract you've got going there. |

day 10+1. 30 days of sharpless. wattle on fireby rozComment: I do love how you manage in all your images to bring out this unreal luminescence and you've got that again here, but I do find the noise to be a detraction in this case, keep the shot from really wowing me. |

goin' somewhereby DKMRancidNOFXComment: The harshness of the light and contrast suits the image, the vertigo-inducing perspective. Looking at it, I feel exactly as I would if faced with having to climb the real thing - hesitantly fearful. |

Day 9 - Spinnerby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Geez, it's like some giant vortex sucking in the flowers. :) I would like to see those blurred circles around the spinner take up the whole frame, from top to bottom, so would suggest trying to crop out much of the bottom leg to see what that does to the composition's impact. Actually, I can see it very well in my mind's eye - I'll be happy to send you an example crop of what I mean if you want the input. |
