Whispers in the Windby NeilComment: Looks watercolored - actually, it also looks like the flower is partially submerged in cool blue waters. Nice shot of movement - effective impressionism. |

Color of Sun Burstby BrianRComment: Nice splash of color with that flower to complement the splash of water! I think the image might be strengthened if the top bit was cropped out, so the flower forms much of the top border and the waterfall begins at the corner with no discernible source. |

Time Killsby PhotologistComment: The clock/passage of time idea is a good one, especially to give it further meaning by suggesting death in your still life. The backdrop is a bit noisy/sharply defined - given that your foreground subjects are fairly close to one another and almost parallel, you could use a wider aperture and still keep your subjects in focus while making the background more blurred and less noticeable. |

Dipby colorcarnivalComment: What exhibits more lively stillness than rippled water? I like how you extended the countering notions of stillness/motion here. LOL, I just noticed that *little* bug seemingly walking the gangplank out to the edge! |

by sevilduvarciComment: My first impression when seeing this is that we are looking at the same guy but at different moments - the turned figure, especially, with the downward look, expresses a bit of sadness or regret. The fact that with neither subject can we glimpse any facial expression makes this shot infinitely interpretable. I'm wordy tonight - all this verbiage means I like it! :) |

Color my Worldby sherpetComment: Beautiful colors, although the backdrop is perhaps a little too vibrant and competes with the foreground arrangement. The flowers lead you invitingly up to that brilliant blue ball. Will this go out into your garden or is it an indoor feature? |

Gongby Yo_SpiffComment: Looks like some strangely metallic tidal pool - without that blue at the top I'd be completely fooled into thinking this were some world of organisms growing at the bottom of an expanse of shallow clear water. |

by boysetsfireComment: At first I didn't much like this - I see this jumble of disconnected souls (even the two communicating at the back seem not quite comfortable with each other in their stance) and it just didn't do much for me. Now I've been sitting here for a few moments and I'm appreciating this shot more in terms of color spaces - that wide stripe of blue, the maroon and grey blocks of wall, the bright red tree planter echoed in the girl's shoes, foreground tied to background with just a simple bit of crimson. I'm still somewhat ambivalent about this shot- I find myself wishing everyone but the red-shoe girl and the man looking in towards her were not there - too many people interfering with this quite simple and yet extraordinary structure of colors. But maybe the people were your point, and I have it all wrong. :) |

Upshotby GiloComment: While the arm gesture is a nice touch and reveals more of her personality, I find myself wishing I could see a bit more of her face. |
