!by bvyComment: For his sake, I'm going to imagine the mother noticed the gesture right after this picture was taken. :) |

M.I.A.by KelliComment: Hey, that's all right, photography is just a way of capturing moments. This moment represents the moment of departure. :) |

ant-agonyby LevTComment: The orientation is nicely disorienting, and appropriately vertiginous. She really looks like she's working hard to push that bike along. Very Sisyphean, I agree with tnun. |

Boys In Alleyby bvyComment: I like the conflict of expressions between the two boys, the one in the back seems not quite sure, or demurring somehow. |

Flower Bedby turnofthesueComment: It looks painted - how did you get this, in-camera or using a post-processing filter of some sort? I don't intend any disparagement by my question, I'm just truly curious that if you got this in-camera, what you did to achieve it. I'm always looking for new ways to abuse my camera. :) |

Premonitionby RKTComment: I believe this is the very definition of foreshadowing. The toning complements the emotive punch very well.
"Queen" indeed, pfft. I hardly invented defocus (and by the way, Gordon is an excellent practitioner of the technique, as is Bill Jacobson). As most detractors of the so-called "easy way out" will be happy to tell you, most camera newbies have this skill well within their grasp. Just enter one in a challenge and you'll see what I mean. :) |

Wooded pathby MelethiaComment: I like how this technique has a tendency to demarcate areas of the composition into basic shape and color, it's perfect for producing abstractions. |

Adolescenceby MelethiaComment: Those colors are wild - they look like they're marching in lockstep, but I suppose that's just the movement of your camera. |
