You have a great idea here, just needs some polishing!

Not sure, did you use a flash here? If you did, try bouncing it off the ceiling or wall to soften the light a little or if you can get away with it don't use it at all.
If it's light from a window, try positioning yourself further from the wall to reduces harsh shadows, and use something, like a piece of white board or card, to reflect some of the light back on the opposite side. Take lots of shots in slightly different positions, the slightest change can sometimes make a big difference.

It's a french door, hence the title:)
I thought about making the reflection stand out, but changed my mind and left it so it was difficult to notice straight off. It would be like a little surprise when you did find it:D Thanks for commenting on it, and long is good! :)

Toe Socks!! LoL! I tried some of those on once. I made an interesting discovery. I have claustrophobic toes! I couldn't handle it having them all cosed up in those things, Ugh!
