Under the spot lightby StagoleeComment: So many questions ...
Why is he all wet?
What ARE those spots?
Why does he look sad? bored? tired?
I gotta say, the lighting's kind of dull, but I'm voting a 6 because of the mystery. :) |

Black White and pencilby PeshiksComment: I'm betting I'm not the only one to point out that this is a spots challenge, not striped. Therefore, I can't vote it as high as I would otherwise. That said, I like this composition a lot, and I think it'll be a nice addition to your portfolio. |

Yahtzee Spotsby HoochieComment: Nice composition - good use of the shapes. The lighting's pretty flat, though. The white dice are quite gray, just about matching the gray background for the page. Try enhancing the contrast and see what you think. That should also help get rid of the distracting texture of the background.
Pure white and bright green on absolute black, and this would do much better. |

Spotted corpse - twisted and wrappedby jj94Comment: Nice try, but something's missing. That pose just doesn't seem especially corpse-like, esp. with his eyes open. But it's also just not engaging my imagination. |

Sandstone and Lavaby puzzledComment: This seems washed out. I wonder whether a high-contrast B&W conversion would put the emphasis more on the interesting shapes. |

dry seasonby tcmartinComment: Pretty color. However, the very dark subject makes the background seem more important. |

That's The Spotby sfmorrisComment: Seems a bit oversharpened, but that might just be the effects of shrinking it. The horse is a little hard to make out - it's almost an abstract. I would try cropping it so the horse is more central to the composition. Right now, the entire upper half isn't relevant to your subject. |
